At Naples and Salerno airports, arriving and departing flights are experiencing delays and cancellations due to a global IT system failure that has also affected airlines. Gesac, the company that manages both airports, stated that their operating systems were "not affected," but that disruptions are being experienced due to global air transport disruptions.
"Passengers are assisted and constantly informed by airport and airline staff," underlines the GESAC.
