A journey into peasant culture among traditional Rocchese dishes, exhibitions of vintage vehicles and a conference on the Mediterranean Diet to pay homage to the peasant world and the ancient threshing ritual. All this is contained in the Festa della Civiltà Contadina e della Trebbiatura which will take place from 24 to 28 July 2024, in the Carretiello di Roccadaspide area.

The event, which does not enjoy public funding, has obtained the moral patronage of the Campania Region, the Municipality of Roccadaspide, Coldiretti Salerno and Bcc Aquara. The event is organized by the non-profit association "Carretiello in Evoluzione", composed of families from the well-known town of Carretiello di Roccadaspide. This district of the Calore Valley is well known for its agri-food vocation.
Preparations and Traditions
“Preparations began about a year ago, with the preparation of the land and the sowing of wheat that will be harvested by local families in the next few hours,” explain Giuseppe Iuliano and Gaetano Menichino, president and vice president of the Carretiello in Evoluzione association.

The event is scheduled to start on Wednesday, July 24.
