Benevento. A violent storm hit Sannio in the early hours of the morning, causing damage in Benevento and in several areas of the province.
Gusts of wind and pouring rain lashed the capital, where the stalls set up for the traditional Feast of the Madonna delle Grazie were overturned and the lights knocked down.
Firefighters from the Provincial Command responded to the scene to assess the damage and secure the area.
The Telesina Valley and the Vitulanese Valley were also hit by the MaltempoIn Torrecuso, a tree fell onto the road, hitting a passing car. Fortunately, the vehicle's passengers were unharmed.
Rescue teams are working to deal with the damage and restore normal conditions in the affected areas. The regional Civil Protection invites the population to be cautious and pay attention to weather warnings.
In addition to damage to structures and crops, the storm also caused traffic disruption. It is recommended to drive carefully and avoid areas where restoration work is underway.
