The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office has requested the indictment of the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè, accused of false accounting in the Visibilia group's financial statements.
The Milanese magistrates' request, according to a note from prosecutor Marcello Viola, also involves sixteen other people, including administrators and auditors of Visibilia, in addition to the companies Visibilia Editore Spa (listed), Visibilia Srl (in liquidation), and Visibilia Editrice Srl.
The charge, as reported in a statement from the Milan prosecutor's office, concerns the "falsification of the financial statements for the years 2016 to 2022 for Visibilia Editore Spa, for the years 2016 to 2020 for Visibilia Srl in liquidation, and for the years 2021 to 2022 for Visibilia Editrice Srl.
