A road accident involved a replacement bus provided by EAV to compensate for the temporary closure of the Naples-Baiano railway line. The bus was hit by a car and, following the impact, crashed into a concrete pillar. Fortunately, none of the passengers on board were injured.
Despite the accident, the replacement bus service, operated by the regional company Air Campania, continued without further inconvenience. EAV stressed that the service was guaranteed "without any particular problems and no passengers were left stranded." EAV also provided some turnout data.

During the winter, the Baiano line carries approximately 10.000 passengers daily, with 46 trains running. During the summer, due to school closures, ridership decreases by 40-45%, reaching around 5.000 passengers per day.
To address this reduction in demand, EAV has established "around two hundred replacement bus runs per day", with a total capacity of 10.000 seats and 4.000 standing. Currently, due to the use of 16-seater buses for the Volla circular route (25 trips per day), capacity is approximately 9.000 seats and 3.500 standing, still exceeding the estimated demand for the summer season.
