The financial police of the Economic and Financial Police Unit of Naples have executed a seizure order issued by the Prevention Measures Section of the Court of Naples, upon proposal of the Neapolitan DDA, against a 74-year-old entrepreneur from Castellammare di Stabia, currently accused before the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere for external competition with the Casalesi clan.

According to what was reconstructed during the investigations coordinated by the DDA of Naples, he would have provided a concrete contribution to the Camorra clan, inducing the administrative bodies of a company in the dairy sector to revoke the concession for the exclusive distribution of its products in the province of Caserta to a company connected to the Casalesi clan, Zagaria faction (already confiscated during prevention), and assigning a new concession to a newly formed company, entirely controlled by the clan.

In a separate criminal case, the 74-year-old had a large sum of cash, over €2,7 million, seized. It was found in his home in a cavity between the wall and a wooden wardrobe.

When questioned, he attributed the origin of the money partly to savings accumulated over the years and partly to tax evasion. Financial and asset investigations conducted during the investigation revealed a disproportion between the sum, believed to be the result of illegal activities, and the income declared by his family unit between 2003 and 2017.

Hence the preventive seizure of the entire amount already subject to constraint in the criminal proceedings.

The entrepreneur was fully acquitted on June 8rd in the appeal trial arising from the Olimpo investigation, for alleged links with all the clans in the Castellammare di Stabia area, where he had been arrested and sentenced in the first instance to XNUMX years in prison.
