With a hint of melancholy but with a heart full of satisfaction, the StraMirabilis association announces the conclusion of its management of the Piscina Mirabilis in Bacoli, starting from Monday 15 July 2024.
Article Key Points
Three intense years, studded with successes and goals achieved, which saw the StraMirabilis association bring back to prominence this archaeological jewel, an invaluable heritage of the Campi Flegrei.
Since its reopening to the public on June 8, 2021, Piscina Mirabilis has welcomed 68.700 visitors, winning the hearts of Italian and international tourists.
Three years of success and valorization
A fact that testifies to the commitment and passion with which StraMirabilis has curated the site, transforming it into a true cultural destination of excellence.
A goodbye, not a farewell
The choice not to participate in the new management tender, promoted by the Archaeological Park of Campi Flegrei, was considered and suffered. StraMirabilis, although aware of its value and the contribution offered, believed that the new conditions were not aligned with its vision and with the valorization model built with dedication in recent years.
However, this does not mean goodbye. StraMirabilis will continue to be a point of reference for the territory, promoting authentic experiences and enhancing the local heritage. The association has already planned new initiatives for September, demonstrating its deep connection with the Campi Flegrei and its community.
An important legacy
The legacy left by StraMirabilis is tangible: a restored and accessible archaeological site, an enthusiastic and aware public, a profitable synergy with local realities. The Piscina Mirabilis, thanks to the work of the association, has returned to shine, reaffirming itself as one of the most evocative attractions of the Campi Flegrei.
A heartfelt thank you
StraMirabilis takes this opportunity to thank all those who contributed to the success of this adventure: the Istituto del Pio Monte della Misericordia for the generous concession of the site, the Faculty of Architecture of the Federico II University for the precious collaboration, the guides, the volunteers and, above all, the visitors who believed in the project and loved the Piscina Mirabilis.
