From France to Campania
From France to Germany, from the Czech Republic to Sweden, Suonno d'Ajere finally return home, to Campania. The 2024 tour in fact stops in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, Irene Scarpato's homeland.
The album 'Nun v'annammurate'
“Nun v'annammurate” is the trio's second album, which takes its title from the original song “Munno Cane” by Toto Toralbo and is inspired by the famous story of Filumena Marturano by Eduardo De Filippo. The album's tracks include "Amore busciardo," "Il Vesuvio a Parigi," "'A gelusia," "'E ggioche 'e prestiggio," "'Mparame 'a via d' 'a casa mia," "O calippese napulitano," "Fotografia," and "'A canzone d'o roccocò." The love expressed in this album is Suonno d'Ajere's love for Neapolitan song itself. The language, the melodies, the expressions, and the vibrations within it are what constantly excite the work of Irene, Gian Marco, and Marcello. It's a love that can be tormented, but one that pushes them to move forward, writing new contemporary Neapolitan songs, with the strong awareness that the tradition recounted by Suonno d'Ajere is always relevant and universal.
