Yesterday the carabinieri of Vietri sul Mare, while passing through Via Costiera late in the evening, they intercepted a high-powered car with three people on board who, seeing them intent on carrying out a road check, accelerated to escape.

The escape ended after a brief chase with the three abandoning the car and then disappearing on foot into the surrounding countryside.
During the inspection, the officers found inside the vehicle, which turned out to be stolen, various burglary tools, uncoded car keys and numerous electrical ignition control units.
