A brutal attack occurred at Ariano Irpino prison: an inmate challenged the treatment of a doctor on call and then physically assaulted her, causing injuries and swelling to various parts of her body. The incident occurred late last Friday evening, as reported by Osapp.
According to Emilio Fattorello, the union's regional secretary, the inmate first insulted the doctor and then physically attacked her. Despite her injuries, the doctor decided not to interrupt her night shift and only had her medical treatment and report the following day.
The attack was prevented by the timely intervention of a Penitentiary Police officer.
