UA 7-year-old girl dead and five injured are the results of the tragic accident that occurred at dawn today on the A2 del Mediterraneo, northbound lane, a few kilometers before the Sala Consilina junction, in the province of Salerno.
A 7-year-old girl from Messina who was traveling in a car with her little brother and parents who were also injured lost her life. The car, for reasons currently being investigated, has impacted with another car, with a couple of Calabrian origins on board who were injured.
Teams from Anas, the Sala Consilina Highway Police, some 118 ambulances and the Sala Consilina firefighters intervened on site and had to extract the bodies of the injured from the wreckage.
The 7-year-old girl was taken to the nearby hospital in Polla where she died from her serious injuries.
The other five injured are hospitalized at the same hospital. Traffic has suffered severe slowdowns.
