Avellino. Six people reported for violations of health and safety and fines and penalties for approximately 50 thousand euros.

This is the result of the checks carried out by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Avellino and the Labor Inspectorate on safety and compliance with the law in the workplace in the Vallo di Lauro.

The Carabinieri of the Lauro Station have reported to the Avellino Public Prosecutor's Office 6 people deemed responsible, in various capacities, for violating the provisions of the Consolidated Law on Health and Safety at Work.

Specifically, the military of the Arma, together with personnel from the Labor Inspectorate of Avellino, proceeded to check 9 companies involved in public and private construction sites in the Vallo di Lauro, finding some serious violations.

The main failures concerned the training of workers on health risks, the failure to verify safety conditions, the failure to appoint a safety coordinator during the execution phase, as well as the failure to draft or verify the Operational Safety Plan (POS).

Furthermore, the presence of a worker who was not regularly employed was ascertained. In addition to the report in a state of freedom and the temporary suspension of work, fines and sanctions amounting to approximately 50 thousand euros were imposed. The checks will continue in the coming days throughout the entire Irpinia province.
