They had been noticed last night in via Cilea in Aversa, the three men who, with their faces covered, were suspiciously approaching the entrance door of one of the houses in the area.
The timely request for intervention, forwarded by a citizen to the Operations Centre of the local Group Carabinieri, through the emergency number “112”, allowed the patrol of the local Operational and Radiomobile Unit, already in circulation, to reach the reported address in a few minutes.
On site, the soldiers surprised the three men who, having noticed their presence, immediately got into a grey Volkswagen Golf, already ready with the engine running, and drove off at high speed.

The immediate chase, which continued for a few hundred meters, ended when the driver of the Golf, following a risky maneuver, lost control of the car and violently impacted a tree in Via S. di Giacomo.
The occupants, apparently unharmed, continued their escape on foot, disappearing into the streets of the city centre.
Following the search, carried out on the car used by the fugitives, on which license plates had been affixed that were found to be the proceeds of a theft reported last August 6 at the Sant'Arpino Carabinieri Station, two transceiver devices and various tools suitable for burglary were found.
The car and the material found were seized.
