The lawyers for killer caregiver Mario Eutizia are planning to request a psychiatric evaluation for their client upon the validation of his arrest, which will be held before the investigating judge of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere court.

Then the issue of territorial jurisdiction will have to be resolved since the four confessed murders were committed in different cities.

Meanwhile, the prosecutor Annalisa Imparato of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere public prosecutor's office describes him as a sort of "Angel of Death".

Investigators have been working frantically for two days because even though Eutizia confessed to "only" four murders, it has been confirmed that over the last ten years she has worked as a carer for at least 30 elderly people, some of whom even lived in Milan for a period.

In the arrest warrant, the prosecutor writes: "All the conduct carried out converges toward 'exitus,' not only represented as certain by the suspect, but desired as a consequence of his own actions. The 'animus necandi' associated with Christian mercy—which he himself admits—determines the suspect's propensity to assume the role of the 'angel of death.' In this guise, he feels profound gratitude and fulfillment."

And again: "The slow and continuous administration of massive doses of potentially lethal drugs when combined, combined with the desire to end the elderly's agony, can only demonstrate that Eutizia, familiar with the characteristics of the drugs both through her work experience and personal experience as a cancer patient, intended to cause the death of her patients. A certain death, given their age and critical clinical condition."

Mario Eutizia, originally from the Maddalena area of Naples, separated from his wife and with a daughter, had recently been living in Caserta, has health problems similar to the elderly people he has cared for and has asked himself to be stopped and not to have any intention of fleeing.

During the interrogation he confessed "to having decided to administer massive doses of drugs - in repeated circumstances and over a long period of time - as driven by a deep compassion and pity for them, aware that a continued intake would have accompanied them gently towards the end. In fact, as Eutizia himself admitted, no one noticed the quadrupled doses because none of the family members were present at the moment of administration".

And finally, "the request made by Eutizia to the prosecutor to be helped to not 'kill again' cannot fail to assume significant importance because, if he had found himself in the same conditions, he said he could have killed again, fully aware that he would not be able to bear such suffering".

Now we are waiting for the moves that her trusted lawyers, Antonio Daniele and Gennaro Romano, will make. While the investigations continue to trace the identity of the other two victims whose murders Eutizia confessed to.

The 48-year-old said he had always enjoyed the trust of the relatives of the people he assisted, that he had treated dozens of them over the years, and that for this reason he had been able to administer the quadrupled doses of drugs to the four victims without being seen. The suspicion, now, is that there may be other victims he did not mention, classified as natural deaths.
