Naples. Mario Eutizia, the killer caregiver, provided details that allowed two of his four declared victims to be identified.
The victims are Luigi Di Marzo, 89 years old, who died in Casoria last December, and Gerardo Chintemi, 96 years old, who died in Vibonati, in the province of Salerno (Salerno) in March of this year.
The Carabinieri contacted the victims' relatives, confirming that Eutizia had worked as a caregiver for both of them. In Vibonati, he had also been reported for stealing the elderly man's car after his death.

Both elderly people suffered from cancer and senile dementia and were taking sedatives such as Talofen and Trittico. Eutizia, also suffering from cancer, knew well the lethal effects of these drugs if administered in massive and continuous doses.

Eutizia quadrupled the dose of drugs, creating a lethal mix, with the declared intent of “putting an end to their suffering.” In both cases, death was considered natural given the age and health conditions of the victims.

Now, the caregivers A 48-year-old man is detained in the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, accused of causing the death of four elderly people he was caring for. He confessed to the crimes by going to the Caserta police station. Eutizia, originally from Naples, was homeless.

Assisted by lawyers Gennaro Romano and Antonio Daniele, Eutizia admitted to having worked as a carer for the past ten years without professional qualifications. The first two murders allegedly occurred in Latina about ten years ago, while the last two are those for which she provided verified details.

Eutizia explained that she acted out of “compassion and pity”, then asked the PM to help her not kill again, fearing that in similar circumstances she could repeat her actions, unable to bear such suffering.
