The police have unleashed a real hunt for prostitution in the peripheral areas of Giugliano.
As part of a joint operation launched in recent days, officers from the Giugliano police station and local police have intensified road and pedestrian checks, aiming to nip the phenomenon in the bud.
The enforcement effort, made possible by a recent municipal ordinance that imposes heavy fines on those who engage in prostitution or use such services, has led to concrete results:
75 people identified: A significant number of individuals were subjected to scrutiny, including both those offering sexual services and their clients.
61 vehicles checked: Numerous vehicles were stopped and inspected, with the aim of identifying any illegal activities related to the phenomenon of prostitution.
4 vehicles seized: Four cars were subjected to administrative seizure, as they were believed to be used to facilitate prostitution.
4 violations of the Highway Code: In addition to the administrative sanctions provided for by the municipal ordinance, several violations of the Highway Code were also contested, demonstrating how the enforcement activity has led to a broader scope of action.
The operation, which comes amid growing attention to the phenomenon of prostitution, aims to restore security to citizens and combat an activity that is often linked to other forms of illegality.
