Pomigliano. The mystery surrounding the body found in the trunk of an abandoned car on the A1 highway overpass, near the Pomigliano toll booth, is beginning to unravel.
The macabre discovery was made during an investigation into an attempted burglary.

The arrested man and the victim are German nationals. According to initial reports, the car in which the thief, who has already been the subject of a European arrest warrant, was traveling had a breakdown, forcing him to stop near the Pomigliano d'Arco highway exit.
He likely attempted to break into one of the homes in the area, also looking for a getaway car. Stab wounds were found on his father's body, hidden in the trunk of the car. The arrested man was taken to Poggioreale prison.
The person arrested on charges of aggravated theft was a foreign citizen who was the subject of a European arrest warrant.
