Despite decreasing daylight hours, the heat will persist over the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will see peaks of 38-39°C in Sardinia, up to 37°C in Oristano, 36°C in Caserta, Ferrara, Florence, and Terni, and 33-34°C in Milan. This is 5-6°C above the seasonal average.
