The Functional Centre of the Civil Protection of the Campania Region, in consideration of the current weather situation, has extended, as stated in a press release, "the alert notice for "Waves of heat", currently in effect, until 8 a.m. on Saturday, August 17.
The critical situation will affect the entire region, where temperatures are expected to be 4-6 degrees C above the seasonal average, humidity levels, especially in the evening and night hours, could exceed 70-80%, and conditions of poor ventilation.

The Civil Protection Department recommends "not going out during the hottest hours of the day, not exposing yourself to the sun or doing outdoor activities, and limiting car travel. People with heart conditions, the elderly, children, and those at risk should be particularly careful."
