An act of violence sparked by trivial family matters has led to the arrest of a 52-year-old man. On the evening of August 25th, the 52-year-old fired three rifle shots at the home of a local couple, causing moments of terror in the small town of Caserta. According to reports, the man had appeared in the courtyard of the home armed with a rifle, shouting insults and threats.
When the couple, who had just returned from dinner, tried to address the situation, the 52-year-old opened fire: the first shot was fired in the air, the second towards the front door, grazing one of the spouses, and the third against the facade of the house. After the attack, the man quickly drove away in his car.

Shocked but unharmed, the couple did not immediately call the police, but the following morning, fearing the attacker's return, they contacted the Carabinieri of the Territorial Department of MondragoneAt the scene of the attack, soldiers from the Operations and Radiomobile Unit found two fired cartridges and documented the damage to the front door and facade.
The Carabinieri subsequently located and arrested the man at his home, where they seized a 12-gauge shotgun and 20 rounds of ammunition, matching those used in the attack. The man is now in custody and will face serious charges related to the incident.
