The State Police of Caserta arrested a 60-year-old man, a lawyer of Romanian origin, who had been sentenced, in his country of origin, to over 4 years of imprisonment for property crimes.
The Flying Squad, executing a European arrest warrant issued by the Romanian judicial authorities, tracked down the subject in San Nicola la Strada.
After checking the identity of the person, he was identified at the home of an acquaintance. The same will have to serve a prison sentence, since he was convicted in Romania for a fraud committed, in 2015, against an insurance company.
After the validation of the measure, he was made available to the Court of Appeal of Naples, pending the completion of the repatriation procedures.
