### Naples and Venice: A Cinematic Partnership at the 81st Film Festival
At the 81st Venice Film Festival, supported by the Campania Region and its Film Commission, six films celebrate the artistic bond between Naples and the Serenissima. The event includes a special tribute to Massimo Troisi, on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of "Il Postino."
### Screenings in the Lagoon
The festival begins on August 28th with "Dadapolis" by Carlo Luglio and Fabio Gargano. On August 30th, "Vittoria" by Alessandro Cassigoli and Casey Kauffman will be screened, followed by "L'occhio della gallina" by Antonietta De Lillo on September 1st. These films, mostly made in Campania, highlight the dynamism and creativity of local cinema.
### Special Events and Miniseries
Unmissable events include the screening of the TV miniseries "Leopardi. The Poet of Infinity" by Sergio Rubini, scheduled for August 29th, and the animated short film "FII - The Wonder of the World" by Alessandro Rak, a tribute to the 800th anniversary of the Federico II University, which will be screened on September 4th.
### International Productions
September 5th and 6th will see the presentation of Joe Wright's "M - Son of the Century," an eight-part series filmed in iconic locations such as the Royal Palace of Portici, the Royal Palace, and the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. Cristina Donadio, Alessandro Rak, Antonietta De Lillo, Lorenzo Cioffi, and Alessandro Cassigoli will be present at the Festival, along with Titta Fiore, president of the FCRC, and Maurizio Gemma, director of the Film Commission.
### Campania on display
On September 2nd, the "Campania in Venice" meeting will be held, an opportunity to discuss the present and future of Campanian cinema. "It's an opportunity to express our satisfaction with the presence of international projects in Venice and the significant increase in works by Campanian filmmakers," says Gemma.
### Tribute to Massimo Troisi
On the thirtieth anniversary of "Il Postino" and the passing of Massimo Troisi, a special screening of Michael Radford's celebrated film will be held in the Sala Casinò on September 6th, in the presence of icons such as Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Anna Bonaiuto, and Enzo De Caro. This initiative, supported by the Campania Region and the FCRC, will be repeated in Naples in October during the "Campania Libri Festival."
