They lost their wallets containing money and documents, but thanks to the efforts of the Municipal Police, they recovered everything: this is the happy ending story that happened on the eve of Ferragosto in San Giorgio a Cremano and was shared by the mayor, Giorgio Zinno, on Facebook.
An elderly couple, about to leave for vacation, approached the Municipal Police officers present in Piazza Troisi during their shift, reporting that they had lost their wallet.
The officers, after having checked the place where the couple had gone shortly before, and by viewing the images from the cameras present there, noticed that the man had dropped his wallets from a pocket and that this had been found by a woman who kept it with her.
She told the officers who, thanks to the help of the cameras, identified her and reached her home that she was about to contact the Command to return her wallet.

Which he did. The couple was able to breathe a sigh of relief, thanking everyone and especially the officers.
"Our men deserve applause for their deep sense of duty, but also for the great respect they have shown towards our community." the mayor wrote on Facebook.
