Donated to the detainees 130 ventilators purchased from Ucciardone prison by regional deputies Ismaele La Vardera (South calls North) and Valentina Chinnici (PD) after the prisoners had requested them during a visit at the end of July.
"We had witnessed," La Vardera said, "the great discomfort the inmates were experiencing during this scorching heat. Having a fan has literally changed their lives.
We made a commitment and, with the Honorable Chinnici, we purchased the ventilators, which, thanks to the support of the Salerno Trasporti company, were delivered to the prison commander Francesco Cerami.
