Naples. The Carabinieri are investigating to ascertain the veracity of the version of a 33-year-old woman stabbed in the night in Naples at the height of a traffic dispute.
She is a woman with no criminal record, from the Ponticelli neighborhood, who according to her story had argued with a non-EU citizen on Via Galileo Ferraris.
At one point the man would have pulled out a knife repeatedly hitting her in multiple parts of her body.
She was transported by ambulance to the Ospedale del Mare where doctors had to stabilize her and stitch the wounds to her right thigh, forearm, and shoulder.
Hospitalized with a critical prognosis, the woman's condition is not in danger. Carabinieri from the Naples mobile radio unit responded to the scene and began an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
