Another young victim on the road between Naples and the province. Qualiano mourns the death of the young footballer Francesco Palmieri
A head-on collision between a scooter and a lorry on a road, via Ripuaria, in Qualiano in the province of Naples, took the life of a 24-year-old.
This morning, for reasons yet to be ascertained, the vehicle two wheels driven by Francesco Palmieri, 24, from Qualiano, lost traction and slipped, and collided with a heavy vehicle coming from the opposite lane. Rescue attempts were unsuccessful. The boy died instantly.
Francesco played soccer, in his hometown team: the Rangers. Lots of memories on social media.
“Hearing the news that you left so suddenly devastated me. I wish I could hug you again just like in this photo. May the earth be light on you Cicciotto”, writes his friend Vincenzo posting a photo of a hug after a goal during a football match.
