Intense evening for the Carabinieri of the Giugliano in Campania company, who carried out a large-scale control of the city north of Naples. The operation, conducted with the support of the Labor Inspectorate and the Operational Intervention Team, led to the identification of 89 people and the control of 64 vehicles.
Numerous fines were issued for violations of the highway code: eight fines were issued for driving without a helmet, eleven for lack of insurance, twelve for vehicles without inspection and nine for driving without a license. The total fines amount to approximately 60 thousand euros.

During the checks, the Carabinieri arrested Salvatore Cacciapuoti, 37 years old, resident in GiuglianoThe man was wanted pursuant to a judicial arrest warrant and will serve a sentence of two years, eight months, and ten days for a robbery committed in 2022.
During the operations, several personal searches were also carried out. A 38-year-old local was reported after being found in possession of a 20 cm long switchblade. In addition, five young people were reported to the Prefecture because they were found with small quantities of hashish.
