Gragnano. Tragedy narrowly avoided this afternoon in the central Via Vittorio Veneto in Gragnano where a woman first stabbed her partner, then left him dying on the stairs while she barricaded herself inside her home.
The Carabinieri of the local station rescued a 45-year-old man with dual citizenship (French and Italian) who had been hit with a sharp object by his 30-year-old Belgian partner.
The military intervened on the scene together with an ambulance after requests for help from some neighbors.
The man was left bleeding in the entrance hall of the building, then he was rescued and taken to the hospital.

The 30-year-old, however, hid in the house. The Carabinieri of the Castellammare radiomobile section and the Gragnano station managed to enter the house through the window and arrested the woman.
