Pozzuoli. A fire, most likely intentional, set several trucks belonging to a well-known food distribution company on the border between Pozzuoli and Pianura at dawn.
There are numerous firefighter tankers on site along with the Carabinieri. The operations to put out the flames are still ongoing and in the meantime the column of smoke that rose from the burning trucks is visible from a distance.
The Carabinieri in the Pozzuoli radiomobile section who are conducting the investigations have interviewed the owners of the company with summary information. No extortion requests or threats have emerged.
Once the flames are out, they'll need to determine what caused the fire. Meanwhile, footage from the company's security cameras is being reviewed to determine if there were any suspicious intrusions overnight.
