The turning point in the "Dolce Vita" investigation into contracts and assignments to the municipality of Avellino.
The Public Prosecutor's Office, led by Domenico Airoma, has served summonses to those under investigation in two strands of the investigation, preparatory to the request for immediate trial for former mayor Gianluca Festa.
But also for the architect Fabio Guerriero, the three entrepreneurs who, according to the Prosecutor's Office, paid Festa approximately 40 thousand euros in multiple payments through Guerriero, and for one of their collaborators.
The summonses to appear for corruption in the exercise of official functions and the alleged rigged competitions were signed by prosecutors Fabio Massimo Del Mauro and Vincenzo Russo, detailing the evidence gathered by investigators, culminating in the April 18th house arrest order for Festa and the second order on July 10th regarding the alleged corruption incidents.
The defendants' defense is evaluating the documents made available to them. Specifically, the former mayor's defense, represented by criminal lawyer Luigi Petrillo, will meet with his client early next week to decide whether to appear before the Prosecutor's Office a few days before September 18th, when the Court of Cassation will consider the motion filed by Festa's defense to have the precautionary measures taken against the former mayor annulled or mitigated.
