The Guardia di Finanza of Naples and the Coast Guard of Pozzuoli have detected irregularities in the transport of waste from Ischia and Procida during a series of checks.
In particular, last August 7th the transported loads and the related EER (European Waste List) codes were examined to verify the correspondence and compliance with road safety regulations, in relation to the load limits of heavy vehicles containing waste materials and materials from excavations.
A static weighing was carried out which led to the contestation, against some drivers, of the violation provided for by art. 167, paragraph 2, of the Highway Code, regarding the vehicles with a total laden mass greater than that indicated in the registration document.
Six drivers were also fined for failure to comply with the provisions of the Ordinance of the Maritime District Office of Pozzuoli, regarding vehicular circulation in the port.
The activity, promoted by the prefect of Naples Michele Di Bari within the recent Committees for public order and safety, is part of a provincial plan aimed at intensifying the fight against the illegal economy, protecting the environment and ensuring the traceability of waste.

Metro Line 2, extra service after Naples-Como
Naples is preparing for a busy evening and is taking measures to address transportation issues. For the Frecciarossa Italian Cup match between Naples and Como, scheduled for tomorrow at 9:00 PM at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Metro Line 2 will extend service with an extraordinary plan of nighttime services. Trenitalia's Regionale, in agreement with the Campania Region and the City of Naples, will operate seven metro trains beyond their usual closing time, offering a total of more than 3.400 additional seats.
The special departures will take place from the Naples Campi Flegrei station, a key hub for the outflow of passengers from the Fuorigrotta area. Five trains will head to Naples San Giovanni-Barra, while two will connect Campi Flegrei to Pozzuoli, with the aim of distributing passenger flow and avoiding crowding on the platforms immediately after the final whistle.
