Juve Stabia wins an important point at Ceravolo, blocking Catanzaro at 0-0. In a hard-fought match, the Var disallowed a goal for millimetric offside for the Gialloblù, leaving a bitter taste in the mouth of mister Guido Pagliuca's team. Pagliuca, satisfied with the result, praised his team for their interpretation of the match.
“The boys played a good game, especially in the early stages, where we managed to apply pressure by going man to man. – said Pagliuca –. We were very good until the disallowed goal, then a bit of tiredness set in and the mental aspect had an impact. Despite everything, this draw satisfies us. Catanzaro is a strong team and playing in such a beautiful environment is not easy”.
On the opposite front, Catanzaro coach Fabio Caserta acknowledged the merits of Juve Stabia, who were able to complicate his team's game. “In the first half we suffered because of Juve Stabia’s skill, who came to the man, putting us in difficulty in our dribbling. In the second half we did better and could have even won it in the final minutes. However, I think the draw is fair. Serie B is like that: you compete with teams that force you to play differently”, Caserta explained.
Caserta also had words of affection for the Juve Stabia and Castellammare, a city to which he is deeply attached. “I have intense memories here, both good and difficult, but the people of Castellammare have always been close to me and my family. I am happy to have seen a team that is doing a great job again”, added the coach.
