During the week of August 15th, the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza carried out targeted territorial control activities in the areas with the greatest tourist vocation in the Phlegraean area and the island of Ischia, as planned within the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, chaired by the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari.
In particular, in the Phlegraean area, a total of over 230 cars were checked (of which 13 with foreign license plates), 240 individuals were identified and 20 reports were drawn up in violation of the Highway Code, in particular in Pozzuoli, near the “Rotonda Cavani” and the embarkations for the islands, as well as in Baia, near the tourist port.
17 "illegal" workers were also identified on the coast of Pozzuoli and Capo Miseno, intent on providing beach resort activities with associated catering services and evening musical entertainment.
An area of approximately 500 mXNUMX, with an adjoining free beach, and various equipment (consoles, speakers, lighting system, refrigerators, counter and drinks, in addition to the daily takings) of an illegal disco that promoted dance evenings, in the absence of the required authorizations, were seized.
Several doses of hashish were seized, with the consequent reporting of 2 individuals to the Prefecture and dozens of counterfeit bags, at the municipal villa of Bacoli, as well as several reports drawn up for irregularities in the registration and transmission of telematic receipts
Similar control activities were also carried out by the Finance Police in Forio d'Ischia, on August 15, during the Thursday evenings, the so-called "Forian Thursday".
