“A year later, same place, same flames: a fire hit last night the field cultivated in Cardo by the Terra Felix Social Cooperative of succivo on land confiscated from the Francesco Schiavone clan, “Sandokan.
It is the third fire and three clues make a proof. We are close to our cooperative and whatever the cause, we say clearly from now that any attempt to bring the experiences born on confiscated lands to their knees will be sent back to the sender;
Our message is clear: they do not intimidate us, we are stronger, and they must understand that those lands are now free, we will not give in. The work of the cooperative represents a tangible example of how a good that has been returned to a productive and social function can be brought back into the fold of legality".
In a note Mariateresa Imparato, president of Legambiente Campania on the fire that last night hit the field cultivated with Cardo by the Social Cooperative Terra Felix of Succivo, a seven-hectare plot of land confiscated from the Clan of Francesco Schiavone, “Sandokan” and cultivated with Cardo for at least four years.
