On Tuesday, August 27, the Villammare Festival is preparing to welcome Lina Sastri, one of the most intense and multifaceted artists on the Italian scene. The famous Neapolitan actress and singer will be on stage to present her first work as a director, 'La casa di Ninetta', a film inspired by the deep bond with her mother. The film will be screened during the evening, offering the public an intimate and touching vision.
'Ninetta's house' was born from the book of the same name written by the same Sastri, already successfully brought to the theater stage. It is a "Neapolitan fairy tale", as the author likes to define it, which tells the story of an elderly woman suffering from Alzheimer's. Inside her home, Ninetta recalls fragments of life: she speaks of love, violence, family, pain and joy, all immersed in a magical and mysterious Naples, suspended between reality and imagination, between past and present.
This story is not only a portrait of a cruel disease that erases memories, but also a hymn to the strength of women. Mothers and daughters, young and old, all gravitate around the figure of Ninetta, a charismatic woman, full of memories that slowly fade. The narration, deeply human and touching, explores the intimate and complex relationship between generations, offering a slice of life that many viewers will find deeply moving and universal.
