The Carabinieri of the Marano di Napoli Company executed a precautionary custody order issued by the Court of Naples - review section, following an appeal filed by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate.
The operation led to the arrest of 18 people, 11 of whom are in custody in prison and 7 under house arrest. Those arrested are seriously suspected, to varying degrees, of crimes related to the association for the illicit trafficking of narcotics and the possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.
Other people involved in the investigation are actively wanted and untraceable and therefore fugitives.
The precautionary order became final after the Court of Cassation rejected the appeals presented by the defendants.
The criminal organization operated in Marano and surrounding areas, distributing drugs in various municipalities in Campania. affiliates they received the so-called “mesate” on a monthly basis for the drug dealing activity carried out in the various points of sale.
