Rain is coming this weekend: even in Campania. It's the classic "break of summer" after Ferragosto.
A vast high pressure system between the Atlantic and Europe, but with a 'cold drop', is moving across the western Mediterranean and will reach the central Mediterranean over the weekend, causing increased instability with an associated slight drop in temperatures.
The Italian Meteorological Center is forecasting another 'cold drop' at the beginning of next week, with bad weather moving from the north towards southern Italy and a more pronounced general cool-down, with temperatures even slightly below average.
From the middle of next week, high pressure will begin to expand again from the lower Atlantic, creating a new stable phase and temperatures rising to values in line with averages or slightly above.
