Naples. Gianfranco Lucariello, a historic Neapolitan sports journalist, has passed away at the age of 80.
The Neapolitan journalism world is mourning the loss of one of its most authoritative reporters. Lucariello began his career in the 1970s at the daily newspaper "Il Roma" and continued as a sports reporter for the "Giornale di Napoli," where he covered the Maradona saga and Napoli's first two Scudetti.
Attentive, cheerful, and friendly professional, he's always available to younger people, but also always ready to crack a joke.
Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous television and paper publications, including Canale 21, "Napoli Notte", "Ultimissime" and "Il Tempo".
