Yesterday, during the operation “Alto Impatto”, the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato, Vasto-Arenaccia police stations, Poggioreale, Chiaiano and Torre Annunziata, personnel from the Polfer Campania Department, the Carabinieri, personnel from the Guardia di Finanza, from the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, with the support of the Campania Crime Prevention Department, have checked the Napoli Centrale railway station and the surrounding areas in order to improve the safety of travellers and combat illicit activities by preventing possible criminal actions.
The officers identified hundreds of people, reporting one for illegal possession of narcotics and sanctioning another for illegal possession of narcotics for personal use; the officers also checked 4 commercial establishments, seizing 15 kg of food products, issuing 5 prescriptions and an administrative sanction for a total of 1500 euros.
