Naples. Porta Capuana increasingly a crossroads for drug dealing in the city center. Dozens of Italian and non-EU pushers are arrested every day.

Yesterday evening, the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, engaged in a control operation, noticed a man in Piazza San Francesco in Capuana who, after taking something out of his mouth, handed it over to another person in exchange for money.

The police intervened quickly, stopping both. The suspect was found in possession of 5 doses of crack and 185 euros in cash of various denominations, while the buyer had the dose he had just purchased with him.

The man, a 46-year-old Neapolitan with a criminal record, was arrested for possession and dealing of narcotics; the buyer was administratively sanctioned for personal use of drugs.
