The investigating judge of the Naples Court has confirmed the arrest of Ridha Ayari, a 61-year-old Tunisian, held responsible for the murder of Dhamel Messai, a 56-year-old Algerian, killed in Naples last Friday.
At the end of the validation hearing, the judge confirmed Ayari's remand in prison. Late on Friday 23 August, Messai was found lifeless in Vico Colonne al Washerman, with several stab wounds.
In less than 24 hours, the Carabinieri of the Naples Stella operational unit stopped Ayari. According to investigators, the murder was the result of a fight, the reasons for which are not yet entirely clear.
