Nicola Iorio dies in Albania, brother-in-law Salvatore Di Tella remains in prison

While the funeral of 19-year-old Nicola Iorio, who died in Albania in an accident with a jet ski driven by his brother-in-law, Salvatore Di Tella, will be held this morning in the Church of the Holy Spirit in Casal di Principe, the brother-in-law will be in prison.

The 20-year-old will remain there for the next 50 days. Judge Arta Llazari of the Court of Shkodra decided yesterday. The young man is accused of manslaughter.

Ahead of the next hearing, the judge requested an expert report on the jet skis to clarify the circumstances of the accident. The 20-year-old, represented by lawyer Arber Rraja, maintained that the impact was accidental. Di Tella's father and the Italian consul in Shkodër were also present at the hearing.

Last August 18th, the two jet skis collided violently.

Meanwhile, Nicola Iorio's funeral will be held this morning at 11:XNUMX a.m. As a sign of mourning, the city administration, led by Mayor Ottavio Corvino, has declared a day of mourning "in condolence for his untimely passing."

The local market will be suspended. "I invite you to participate, with respect and composure, in this moment of grief for our community," Corvino stated. "The entire administration stands with Nicola's family in this moment of immense grief."
