Nocera seized 5 thousand counterfeit articles intended for children

In recent days, following an operation to crack down on the trade in counterfeit products, the Salerno Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza seized over 5.000 counterfeit items on its own initiative.

In particular, the Fiamme Gialle of the Nocera Inferiore Company, during an inspection at a commercial establishment in Nocera Superiore, found, displayed for sale, thousands of items, including Pokémon playing cards, gadgets and accessories from various brands, such as Unicorn, Barbie, Disney, as well as Funko Pop vinyl figurines, intended mainly for children.

Therefore, the goods found were placed under criminal seizure and the legal representative of the company was reported to this Public Prosecutor's Office for the crimes of "counterfeiting" and "receiving stolen goods".

The service operation once again demonstrates the continuous and long-term commitment that the Guardia di Finanza puts into action in order to combat the trade of non-genuine and unsafe products that damage the market, taking away opportunities and work from companies that instead comply with the dictates of sector regulations, introducing quality articles into the market that, in respecting the imposed safety standards, effectively protect the health of consumers.
