Starting from September 1st 2024, three new speed cameras will officially come into operation along the state road that connects Gragnano to Agerola, crossing the Lattari Mountains.
These devices, placed on a stretch of road known for its high number of accidents, often fatal, are a measure adopted by the Municipal Administration to improve road safety and protect the lives of citizens.
- Speed Cameras, installed last March, will monitor the speed of vehicles, both cars and scooters, on this important road link. The maximum speed limit is 50 kilometers per hour, and violators will be automatically fined.
Mayor Nello D'Auria underlined the importance of the initiative: Road safety is a priority for our administration. We installed these speed cameras to combat speeding on a dangerous road, where too many lives have been lost.

We are confident that this measure will significantly reduce accidents, making our roads safer. I urge citizens to respect speed limits and view this initiative as a necessary intervention for the common good. I thank the Prefecture and the Municipal Police for their commitment.
The installation of speed checks is part of a broader plan to improve road safety. The Gragnano municipal administration will continue to monitor the effectiveness of these measures and study further initiatives to ensure citizen safety.
