A brutal episode has shocked the quiet community of Solopaca. Miguel and Sofia, two stray dogs but loved by all the citizens, were found shot to death along a path near the town center.
The dogs, who had been a familiar presence for the villagers for years, were considered an integral part of the community. Their disappearance has caused a deep sense of dismay among the citizens.
Carabinieri from the local station responded to the scene of the discovery and began an investigation to identify the perpetrator or perpetrators of the vile act. The National League for the Defense of Dogs has filed a complaint and is appealing for anyone with useful information to come forward.
The condemnation of the municipal administration
"The municipal administration firmly condemns these cowardly acts, committed by people who have no heart, no feelings. The municipal administration cares about domestic animals, stray animals, so much so that it has stipulated an agreement with a kennel for the custody of abandoned stray dogs".
