The city of Pompeii could soon prepare to welcome a special guest: His Holiness, Pope Francis. The pontiff could indeed arrive for a visit next January.
The announcement was made by the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, during a Facebook live broadcast.

The transport company Eav is currently busy renovating the square in front of the Sanctuary of Pompeii and creating a new 300-space car park, right in the heart of the city.
