Vico Equense Celebrates the Seventh Edition of "Pizza a Vico 2024: Bites and Paths"
From September 23rd to 25th, Vico Equense will host the seventh edition of "Pizza a Vico 2024: Bites and Paths," an event celebrating one of the city's culinary highlights. Known as "the city of stars," Vico Equense pays homage to its distinctive pizza, already awarded the municipal designation (De.Co.), through an event that promises to be a sensory journey through monuments, landscapes, and typical products of the region.
The Uniqueness of Vico Equense Pizza
The Pizza di Vico Equense is not just a dish, but a true expression of identity. The result of the centuries-old wisdom of local farmers and the passion of modern pizza makers, this pizza represents a combination of quality and creativity. It is the only one in Italy to have obtained the De.Co. recognition, a brand that enhances the style, history and products of this hard-working community. Ingredients such as provolone del monaco, fior di latte, tomatoes, and high-quality oil, sourced from both the sea and the mountains, are the backbone of this delicacy.

An Artisan and Cultural Event
The event will be held in the heart of Vico Equense: Corso Filangieri, Via Roma, Corso Umberto, Piazza Umberto, Via Mons. Natale, Via Vescovado, Largo dei Tigli, Terrazza Don Mario Buonocore, and Piazzetta Punta Mare will be the locations of the event. The organization is entrusted to the association “Pizza a Vico” and the merchants of the Aicast association, with the patronage of the Campania Region, the Metropolitan City of Naples and the Municipality of Vico Equense.
An Extraordinary Offer for a Good Cause
25 pizzerias and over 100 master pizza chefs will be involved, who will liven up the three days of the event. The net proceeds from sales will be used to promote the area and for charity, making the event not only an occasion for celebration, but also for solidarity.
