Hospitality, solidarity, integration and friendship: these are the key words that characterised a special day in PostiglioneThe community welcomed three children from the reception centers managed by the cooperative “Al Tuo Fianco” and by the Caritas of the Diocese of Teggiano-Policastro, baptizing them in the parish of San Giorgio and San Nicola.
The event, celebrated by the bishop of the Diocese of Teggiano-Policastro, Monsignor Antonio De Luca, and the parish priest Don Martino De Pasquale, saw the participation of the entire community, including the mayor Carmine Cennamo and the Ukrainian children hosted by Caritas, in holiday in Postiglione to escape the war. A tangible sign of friendship and integration, which united institutions, pastoral workers and citizens in a moment of deep faith and sharing.
In his homily, Monsignor De Luca emphasized the importance of hospitality and charity, fundamental values that the Catholic Church and the Christian community must promote. He spoke of the commitment to the least and the need to build a more just and supportive society. His words of faith and love resonated forcefully, urging everyone to continue on the path of solidarity.
Mayor Cennamo expressed gratitude to the bishop and Don De Pasquale for their social commitment.
