Thanks to the prompt action and professionalism of law enforcement, a daring attempted burglary at a villa in Pozzuoli was foiled yesterday afternoon.
Alerted by a sophisticated alarm system that detected an intrusion, the police officers of the Police Station Pozzuoli, assisted by the Carabinieri of the radiomobile section, intervened immediately on site
The homeowner, who was on vacation out of town, had received a notification on his smartphone and, through the surveillance cameras installed in the home, had witnessed the intrusion live.
Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, the officers immediately raided the villa, where they located and arrested an individual inside one of the rooms.

Caught red-handed, the thief, a 20-year-old German citizen living in Pozzuoli with a criminal record, desperately attempted to evade arrest by brandishing a knife. Despite the threat, the police managed to disarm and subdue the criminal without resorting to force.
The operation, conducted with great skill and speed, prevented the theft from taking place and led to the arrest of the perpetrator. The 20-year-old was taken to the police station and handed over to the judicial authorities, charged with attempted aggravated theft and resisting a public officer.
This episode demonstrates once again the importance of home security systems and the effectiveness of law enforcement in combating property crime.
The immediate alarm and the prompt response of the patrols allowed the attack to be foiled and the perpetrator to be brought to justice.
