Salerno. A failed ambush at dawn on Via Mauri in the eastern part of the city, bordering the Mariconda and Pastena neighborhoods.
The Carabinieri, alerted by numerous phone calls reporting gunshots, arrived on the scene and found and collected 8 shell casings on the asphalt.
Signal of a real shooting. The shots were scattered even twenty meters away. After finding the shell casings, the carabinieri took the images from some private cameras present in the area.
The investigation is being coordinated by the Salerno Public Prosecutor's Office. Investigators have not ruled out the possibility of a failed ambush given the distance of the bullets, nor have they ruled out a demonstration similar to those held in the alleys of Naples.
The military also checked the hospitals but there were no reports of people injured or hospitalized by gunshots.
